HOW THE FULL TIME DANCE SCHOOL AUDITIONS WORK

At the Australian Dance Festival, there are special workshops sponsored by full-time dance schools. These workshops are marked on the Workshop Timetable as "Full Time Dance School Auditions."

Now, here's how it works: After the workshop, the instructor will ask those who are interested in auditioning for the dance school and the Dance Around The World Solo Competition to step forward. To be eligible, you need two things:

1) A weekend pass to the festival.
2) Registration for the DATW Solo Competition which means you'll have a numbered Bib that you can pin to your front.

During these workshops, the teachers from the full-time dance schools will be on the lookout for talented dancers. They will check your Bib number and look it up to see if you have expressed interest in their school when you filled out the DATW Solo Competition Registration Form.

If they're interested in you, they might announce your number right there, or they will contact you later on.

Once you've been identified as a potential candidate for their full-time school, they will arrange an interview with you. This interview could take place either at the Australian Dance Festival itself or afterwards.

Each full-time dance school will have its own booth at the festival. We highly encourage you (and your parents!) to visit these booths. It's a chance for you to meet the instructors and other students face to face. You can ask questions, get to know the schools better, and figure out which one is the perfect fit for you.

So, get ready to showcase your talent, meet the schools, and take your dance journey to the next level at the Australian Dance Festival! Let's dance our way to success!
